This year I've been invited by Justin Andrews to co-edit the 2024 issues of Sphere, the artist book and image archive project that Justin established in 2022. Upon its inception, I was thrilled to contribute my own work to Sphere's first issue, and this year it's been a wonderful experience stepping into the role of editor alongside Justin.
'SPHERE forms a map of a de-centred artistic community, aiming to include and expand, to collect and re-present in perpetuity.'
I'm looking forward to sharing the next four issues of Sphere, which brings together unique works from 40 artists from across the world, spanning various generations and nations. Working through the processes of publishing I've found it to be a particularly special vehicle for creating 'tiny worlds', it lends itself naturally to this important artistic dialogue that can easily bridge distance and time.
